FAQs

How can I get a device for my child to use at home?
Any student who requested a Chromebook should have already received one the week of March 23rd. If a student didn’t get their device and now needs it, parents should email their child’s teacher.

How will teachers communicate with parents and students?
Teachers will use a variety of methods to communicate with both parents and students. E-mail and  Google Classroom for grades 2-6, and SeeSaw for grades K and 1 will be the primary methods. The student section of this web site has more links to specific information.

What if my child wants to use his/her school Google accounts to chat with friends and classmates?
As stated in the contract that was signed for the devices, they are for school use only.  Students should not be using their school Google accounts and/or school devices to create private meetings and chats with their friends. We appreciate the difficulty of not being able to see peers and teachers.  Therefore, we have created multiple opportunities through Morning Meetings, lunches, and live sessions for students to connect with their classmates live.

What if we need technology assistance or we have an issue with the chromebook?
Please contact our IT person at justin.mayrand@sau69.org.
